Caden’s 7th Birthday Party- Hockey Style!

Both of my son’s play hockey and our family LOVES the Detroit Red Wings.  So when my youngest said he would like to have an ice skating party, I was all for it!  We hosted it at our local hockey rink and we had all his friends come and join.  Now we knew going in that a lot of his friends might not be able to ice skate but it’s fun for all ages and they all still had a blast!  dsc_0805

But while I was searching Pinterest for ideas on how to make his party even more special, I saw a couple of decorations that I wanted to make! I made this banner out of card stock and printed it at our local Office Max and hole punched them and hung it with ribbon.  dsc_0806 dsc_0869

So I had also saw a cute idea where you make treat bags for the friends to take home and they have cookies in them.  Now if your not a hockey fan, this won’t make any sense as to why 3 Oreos are in the bag, but if you are, then you know exactly what it is! In hockey terms, a hat trick is 3 goals in 1 game and Oreo cookies look exactly like hockey pucks so they fit perfect!!  1canvas

I customized the pattern to match our favorite team colors (DETROIT RED WINGS) and they were a HIT!  I have the digital patterns for sale on my Etsy shop if you’d like to purchase your own.  I also have other team colors on there too.  If you would like a specific team that you don’t see, just ask and I can coordinate it to match your team colors.  canvashttps://www.etsy.com/listing/267321820/hat-trick-bag-hockey-birthday-party
